Elsight signs an NIS 3 million agreement with Nistec to produce thousands of advanced communications platforms

Or Yehuda-based high-tech company Elsight, a developer of advanced connectivity solutions for drones, has signed an agreement with the Nistec North plant in Maalot-Tarshiha to produce thousands of advanced communications platforms with Artificial Intelligence for drones

Elsight has developed a Halo product for drones and other unmanned vehicles to operate Beyond Visual Light of Sight (BVLOS) by sharing four mobile networks, radio frequency (RF), and satcom into a singe secure connectivity solution. The company developed its proprietary technology, which enables full control of the drone or other unmanned vehicle to create direct connectivity between the drone or unmanned vehicle and the command and control station through a virtual network. Halo currently has over 99.98% connectivity without disconnections or shutdowns.

The technology includes an Artificial Intelligence (AI) component developed by Elsight, which monitors the strength of the different networks several time a second, significantly improving network stability and performance. The system can duplicate, split, and send data via several different channels and reconnect them at the target point to verify that the data sent to or from the drone or ground station arrives intact.

The Nistec North electronics plant in Maalot-Tarshiha has produced 250 Halo systems to date. The order includes production of the integrated circuit, platform power test, and its complete assembly for the end-customer. Nistec has now undertaken to produce 2,000 more systems, which will be delivered to Elsight over the next two years.

“We thank Elsight for choosing Nistec North as their manufacturer,” said Nistec North plant CEO Waspy Armaz. “We are now preparing to increase the plant’s production capacity for Elsight in view of the expectation we received to increase the delivery quantities.”

“We are pleased to cooperate with Nistec North,” said Elsight CEO Yoav Amitai. “The company provides us the assurance for expanding our operations, enabling to focus on further product development and marketing. Nistec North provides us the flexibility, stability, and, above all, the quality we need from a manufacturing partner.”

Elsight is traded on the Australian Stock Exchange at a market cap of AU$46.6 million. It has customers throughout the world.
