This one-day comprehensive Seminar covers the fundamentals for troubleshooting an electronic design with electromagnetic interferences (EMI), or Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) problem. It will present a systematic approach, procedural steps and tools for the investigation, diagnosis and understanding of the electromagnetic interference phenomena in electrical and electronic equipment and systems, and the subsequent troubleshooting methodology and tools.
Three main troubleshooting concepts will be presented:
- differential diagnosis
- gross and microscopic diagnosis, and
- the “9 and 90” rule.
Practical “real life troubleshooting case studies” are extensively used as examples. Come with your interference troubleshooting problems and return with practical and useful solutions.
After the Seminar, the participant will:
- acquire a fundamental knowledge of the EMI problem and interference sources in electrical and electronic systems
